This summer,The Lunar Fire Collective plans to produce "Corazon Del Venado" (Heart Of The Deer) which premiers fall 2012 as a DVD and a live touring spectacle a portion of who's proceeds will benefit indigenous people's projects worldwide. "Corazon Del Venado" features visual performances with fire, aerial and theatrical dance as well as live music. Projections feature the visionary art of Stevon Lucero, Martina Hoffmann and Robert Venosa. All original costuming, masks and props by ARTSMYTHS and ROOT STRUCTURE.

Lunar Fire uses a unique approach to co-create an experimental fusion of dance theatre, moving video sculpture and live music. Pre-Columbian flutes, multilingual vocalists, powerful drummers, live bass and guitars tell stories reflected in dance. Aerialists, fire spinners and masked performers glow brightly in colorful uv active fabrics first woven by various indigenous tribes from around the world then re-constructed by the dancers to create a visual symbol honoring the unity of all cultures. Mystic visionary art comes to life when projected on the movement of "living video sculptures" developed in collaboration with world renowned painters STEVON LUCERO, MARTINA HOFFMANN, ROBERT VENOSA and ADAM FU. A play, a live band, a dance troupe, the Lunar Fire Collective's "CORAZON DEL VENADO" unfolds as a mystical dream full of surprises.

CORAZON DEL VENADO means Heart of the Deer in Spanish. The title refers to Huichole and Mayan stories passed down orally as well as brought to light by authors such as Carlos Castaneda and Martin Prechtel. LUNAR FIRE approaches 2012 from the perspective of the animal and plant spirits. The show begins with the innocence of the animal spirit lost in a world that has forgotten itself. Confused characters bound by the technology of convenience, seek to find harmony between the ancient and modern relationships to nature. Cultures from around the world guide the audience to a deeper understanding of self expression through art, music and dance.
