My dad suffered a massive stroke on July 1, 2013. There has been an outpouring of prayer and encouragement from so many people, and I am eternally grateful for that.
As you know, it is a huge financial burden to pay for long-term care. While my prayer is that my dad will fully recover quickly, there is no way to know for sure if, how, and/or when he will be healed. I am only setting up this page because some have insisted on assisting financially. I am not asking for donations, but do appreciate everyone's willingness to help...whether it be financially, in prayer, or sending a kind word.
In the next day or two, my dad will be transferred to a subacute rehabilitation facility where they will focus more on strengthening exercises and speech therapy. After about six to eight weeks, we should have a better idea of the extent of his recovery and how to proceed with his care.
I hope and trust in the promises of our Lord and Savior, that someday, His children will be with Him in Paradise and our weak, fragile bodies will be no more. We will be transformed into His likeness and we will know no more pain.
