Have you read Blue Milk Special? The Sci-fi parody webcomic has been going for five years and is halfway through the final film in the Original Star Wars Trilogy. 600+ strips, with Smoking Leia, Undead Biggs Darklighter, Latte loving Vader, Slipper-wearing Tarkin, Smoking Jawa, TK8008 and many more character parodies that have delighted readers will all come to an abrupt halt if we can't meet our expenses.
As you may know, Rod Hannah --the writer and co-artist-- is dealing with the disruption in his life with ongoing temporary disability and being out of work. Our other projects have become increasingly important and if BMS is to continue then we need fans to help make it happen.
We have set a goal of $3000 to fund the completion of our parody of Return of the Jedi. The money goes toward the website, the archive of over 600 strips and stock art, along with bread and water for the next couple of months. We do not publish our webcomic work for sale in print, so our own investment in the webcomic is a difficult one to recoup, especially in our current circumstances. If you support SAVE BLUE MILK SPECIAL, then you are helping us continue on our regular update schedule. You, the reader and fan are investing in this fan project just as we have as the creators.
Without your help, RIGHT NOW, BMS may have to stop indefinitely. I love the project, but without the active support and passion of our fellow fans, the resources required to reach the end would have to be shifted 100% to other projects. So it is up to readers to decide the future of the webcomic for us.
