Raj Fund, to help our family with bills!

Donation protected

Hello my name is Heidi, and I would like to share with you, what our beautiful little family has been through in the past couple of weeks.

My boyfriend Raj, daddy to Jameson almost 3, and a wonderful guardian to Trent 17 and Brett 14, is at this moment fighting so hard, and is lucky to be alive, but he is getting a little bit better each day.

Raj had quite a bad case of the flu, at the beginning of January, but instead of getting better his condition just got worse , and then 2 weeks ago ended up in the ICU ward completely dependent on a ventilator. I did not realize how serious it was until I was told to make arrangements to come and see him, because the Doctors were not sure if he would make it through the day. He was diagnosed with Pneumonia, an then the infection went into his blood (Sepsis), with his lungs now already weak (ARDS) set in, Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome. 11 days later after being in a sedated state, and assisted by oxygen Raj came off the ventilator and now has a mask, and more importantly is still with us, miraculously. He is working hard every day to recover, but not without the ever roller coaster ride, of ups and down, and because of the severity of his illnesses, complications along the way. He makes progress daily, but little little baby steps.

It is uncertain as to when Raj will be home, it could be months, and even then he will have a mountain to climb with regards to gaining strength in all areas. My car has already been repossessed, and without Raj's income it is very hard to pay bills, and unfortunately they are beginning to mount up.

Hence this is why I came to this site, to reach out to family and friends, to ask for your support as Raj continues to recover from this dreadful sickness.

We miss Raj so much, and some days are hard to get through. Trying to stay strong for family, and just dealing with life in general, doesn't seem to be as difficult until faced with anything that disrupts, what we all come to call our routine.

Out of bad, always come some good, in this case just realizing how precious our lives actually are, and I find myself slowing down a little, and letting things go, that once may have seemed so pressing.

I would like to thank  you all for taking this time to share in our story, and for the many that will read this and who know Raj, it is evident that he has touched your lives in a special way also.

Thank you
