Save Ralph's Cafe

Donation protected
Anyone who has been to my family's restaurant in the beautiful Maine village of Brooks knows that they love food almost as much as they love people. This is especially fitting since the café is named after a man for whom life revolved around family, friends and food, my father: Ralph Champa.

Not too long after we lost Dad my family brought his lifelong dream of a restaurant into being in the form of Ralph's Café; situated near the crossroads of Brooks, a quintessential New England town. Mom, Frank and Mike set about the task of serving up delicious and affordable food to Mainers and "awayers" alike. They were never going to get rich on this enterprise, but they put together a solid small business the likes of which this nation was built upon.

As these things go, small business (restaurants especially) are subject to cruel whims of fate. And that brings us to the reason I've set up this site. Frank told me the other day that they have to install a new septic system in order to keep the doors open. The price tag for this repair is in the neighborhood of $30,000!

That's why I'm writing this and its why I really hope you're still reading it. I'm asking you, our friends and family, to help keep my Dad's dream alive. Join me in helping to ensure that we keep the doors to Ralph's open so people can continue to enjoy good food among good freinds.

All donations, big or small, are welcome and very much appreciated.
