Volunteer trip to Tanzania

Dear Friends,

As some of you may already know, on the 27th of November 2012 I will begin my journey to Tanzania, where I will volunteer at the International Volunteer Headquarters (IVHQ). It is an organization that provides safe, quality and affordable volunteering programs abroad in developing countries all over the world focusing on a variety of jobs such as teaching, medical work, HIV/Aids awareness, women empowerment, sports education, etc. Here is the link to its website: http://www.volunteerhq.org/.

During the month of December I will stay in Arusha, a city in northern Tanzania, where I will be teaching math and science to orphans and children from less fortunate families and provide individual attention and assistance when necessary. This is an extraordinary opportunity to share my personal resources, my enthusiasm for caring for those who are need, and my passion for the direct positive impact in this community through daily activities, initiatives, and education-based projects.

Serving children in need is an exciting challenge that I am eager to undertake but I need your help to make it a success. I am kindly asking you to join me on this trip by making any contribution towards raising funds for this cause. I have already funded the airfare ($1900), the registration fee ($250) and vaccinations and insurance ($200). However, there are other expenses that still need to be covered:

- program fee ($560) for my in-country orientation, accommodation and meals for 4 weeks

- work permit ($500)

- supplies for the orphanage ($1500)

There is no minimum or maximum amount - any donations will help and will be greatly appreciated. In recognition of your generosity and support, I will keep an on-line journal where I plan to record each day's progress and share with you our small and big achievements.
