WALK FOR A CAUSE 

Last Sunday, November 21, 2010, we just had our successful fund raising event for Joel and we felt good to note that a lot of his co-employees from CEPALCO came to join.  A number from our subdivision also gave their support and even a puppy named "Happy" registered.  Still uploading pictures.  Thank you Lord for everything!

Joel was so touched and we cried when we visited him in his house.  He was supposed to come and see the event, but he lacked sleep that night since he was found to have pneumonia.  As of date, he is in the hospital, being treated with pneumonia. We hope and pray he will recover soon so his sleep will not be bothered by his cough. 

He was so thankful and was so touched of the efforts we made.  This walk also gave way to the reunion of our CFC community.  We met our leaders before and felt that same closeness we had before. 

We are still in the praying battle of Joel's healing and we will never stop being there for him, his wife -Vangie, and their kids.

SUPPORT FOR JOEL'S DIALYSIS

Joel, as we call him Brod Joel has been our friend since 1999. We met him, together with his wife Vangie in the Couples for Christ Community and have been part of a household for the longest time that we have been in the community.

Joel and Vangie - They were witnesses to our roller coaster ride to family life. They became our source of strength together with the rest of our household members when our daughter Robin Faith at 3 years and 9 months old passed away in 2006.  Even when Robin was still alive, we really felt that they went the extra mile just to show their love for Robin by praying for her.

To date, Brod Joel has a kidney failure.  Both of his kidneys shrunk. He miraculously got out of ICU last October 16 from a pulmonary distress and is undergoing dialysis since he got out of the hospital.

We are saddened by the fact that a person as active, friendly, fun loving, a dedicated husband and father to his three children is experiencing this type of health problem.

Yes, we are saddened because we treasure his friendship and his family has been our family since the birth of our eldest daughter who is now 10 years old. BUT WE ARE VERY HOPEFUL.

For the care and love that they have poured out on our family especially Robin, we are giving back by helping in our own little way, making use of our undeserved, unmerited skills, talents, and strength that God has blessed us with.

We will also be organizing a WALK FOR A CAUSE to fund Brod Joel's dialysis.

A dialysis costs P4,500 or $100 per session. Raising $1,000 would mean funding at least 10 sessions and will surely give him hope, having to know that we are here to support him.
