Hey everyone! It's Hunter, sorry it's...
Hey everyone! It's Hunter, sorry it's been awhile since an update! School has started back up and both David and I have been busy. We've had SO many incredible donations and so many people spread the word about our fundraiser, its a miracle how much money we've raised in Ben's name. As of right now, it says we have $11,275 in donations, but there was a accidental donation of $3,600, it was not intended to be that much and it's been corrected, but its not showing accurately, the actual amount is $7,731. We were so excited to pass our goal of $5,000 and it's amazing that we almost doubled it! I hope you guys are still willing to donate so that we CAN reach the $10,000.
Again, the current donation amount as of Thursday, January 5th, 2012 at 5:30 pm is $7,731.
Please, keep donating and keep spreading Ben's story. God bless everyone! Thank you so much! (:

Hey guys! It's Hunter again, I...
Hey guys! It's Hunter again, I can't believe we've hit $2,445.oo in a little over 48 hours, this is INCREDIBLE. Me and David are so excited! Yesterday I spoke with some of Ben's family and they're beyond moved that Ben's story has touched so many lives. We should soon know the exact charity the money we raise will be going to, so as soon as we know, we'll let you all know as well. It's amazing to see that so many people are inspired by Ben's story, the emails David and I have received are amazing. Please, keep sharing this link on Facebook, Twitter, email it to your family and friends, talk about it, let people know! If you have any questions, comments, concerns, ideas or anything you would like to speak to David or I about, feel free to email one of us! Thank you so much for all of your donations, it's truly amazing how easily we can make a difference if we try hard enough.
"Do you believe in angels or God? I do."

My name is Jodi Comer,Katie is my sister. I was at work on December 29th and saw Ben's you tube post circulating on Yahoo. I took the time to watch it and so very glad I did. On December 30th,my 18 year old daughter was killed in a car accident. She died instantly and her passenger walked away unharmed. I was very shattered and angry those first few days but realized through my husbands words, that this was her time and we have no control over that. Her dear friend searched for her and held her until the EMS came. I recalled Ben's video and took great comfort in knowing that my daughter heard her friend's voice while she lay there because your body dies before your brain. I now know that she is in a place she wants to be, content and peaceful. I thank Ben for giving me solace from his video. It's amazing how each touches so many lives!!!

Hi guys, I was diagnosed with HCM when I was 12, today I am 43 and my daughter 16 also has the condition as to many members of my family. The HCMA was founded 16 years ago to raise awareness and improve outcomes for those with HCM. I started the organization after the death of my sister Lori, age 36 who was the 4th in my family lost to HCM. We know Ben's death impacted millions of people and he was an inspiration to many. Our community is beyond saddened at his loss and do hope to keep his memory alive by having Ben be our teacher to save others from a similar fate. We look forward to working with you all to make a terrible story... into one of hope and education. May Ben watch over us all and help us help others. Best wishes, Lisa Salberg CEO and Founder HCMA

Breedloves & Friends, I was fortunate enough to have been involved in athletics all of my life and I wasn't diagnosed with Hypertrophic Carrdiomyopathy until the December after I graduated from high school. My cardiologist said, "God has you alive for a reason, because you should not have been able to wrestle for 4 years and live with this." My son however, is not so lucky, as you may know this condition is genetic and of my 3 children only my son has it. He was diagnosed just 6 weeks ago. His cardiologist runs a free-of-charge camp for children with any sort of heart disease or kids that have had heart surgery. For more information check out www.campdelcorazon.org

I do believe in angels and God. And, now I believe Ben will be an angel for his family. Reminds me of the song "Angels Among Us" by Alabama. We lost a great guy, but heaven has gained his beautiful soul.

I watched the videos this morning and was so touched by how brave Ben was to spread his word on the internet. I hope that all young and old realize life is full of surprises and we should be grateful to see the sun shine everyday we are here. Learn to love and be helpful as you can to others as we are all here together so why not ???

I'm touched. This story is wildly incredible. Thank you guys for taking the initiative here. Ben seems like he was a World Class kid. The world just lost a great asset.

I watch these videos right after my own son passed and it gives me such hope that this boy is up in heaven with my baby. I am so blessed that even though my baby had a serious condition like Ben he was always happy and never acting like he was in pain and I never had to watch him struggle and I never had to wonder is this it? is this the last time my baby will be with me? RIP ben watch my baby boy for me until i see him again and give him your strength

I was one of bens best friends. Unfortunately we fell apart due to his parents thinking i was a bad influence, which, in all honesty, was true, however, he would support this effort to help his family. He tried his best not to think about his condition but due to the impact it had on his daily life, had to take it into consideration before he did anything. Please donate so that we can cure this disease so that no family will have to lose such a big part of their lives prematurely. I think the goal should be 100,000 dollars because ben always went big before he went home.

Jake, hi. I'm the other person running this with David and we both have legitimate connections to people involved with Ben Breedlove. If you're really that concerned, and think we would take advantage of something so powerful and inspirational such as this, feel free to send me a message on Facebook and i will show our connections. I really hope Jake's comment won't effect people who were planning to donate. This is 0 safe and your money WILL go directly to the family. If you need to contact me, feel free to email me at hglasoe@yahoo.com. I would be more than happy to prove this is a "legitimate" donation.
