The Unlimited Landscape - Exploring The Power Within You

You know that feeling that washes over you when you become frighteningly aware of the gap between where you are and where you always thought you'd be at your age?  The day I looked up and saw the canyon of missed opportunities before me, that feeling came... hard.  While having lunch at a suburban Taco Bell - my only real refrain from the hourly grind of work - I looked out the window and thought, "there's got to be more than this."  It was time to pave a way through that gap.

In a feverish panic that I was missing out on something better, I joined spiritual groups, job boards, local clubs, networking circles, and started studying what 'successful' people were doing that made them so, for lack of a better term, successful.  Months of attitude adjustments, powerful seminars, investments in my personal development, and many, many success books later, I was packing a full load of information, but no closer to achieving greatness for myself.  That's when I decided to get a coach.

I immediately fell in love with coaching.  I began training as a certified professional coach, networking with incredible people, and partnering on projects across a broad range of topics in the personal development arena.  Applied Happiness (www.appliedhappiness.org) has been my home, and my gift to the world since early 2008.  I offer lessons, coaching, and challenges to my readers as they travel their own path of discovery. It's been wonderful to share ideas and help people tap into their power. 

"The Unlimited Landscape - Exploring the power within you" is about the journey to that 'more to life' place we're all searching for.  Sometimes it's a quest for success. Sometimes it's a search for deeper meaning in the world around you.  Often it's a combination of many things.  This book is an experiential piece - filled with exercises and lessons to guide you in discovering your potential, and explore that power.  It is written with humor and sarcasm because that's the kind of guy I am - as if we needed another sarcastic writer in the world, right?

The book is really a stepping-stone for Applied Happiness, and myself.  I am raising money to get the book published and on shelves, but I'm also using any additional funds to put together a charity for Suicide Prevention and the celebration of life.  I feel in my soul that the emotions in this project, and the passion of the positive paradigm, will make the future charity possible - and I would be honored if you were a founding contributor to our success.
